over 260 lives lost

Countless lives shattered

Hurricane Helene and Milton have claimed over 260 lives, and the toll continues to rise. Entire communities in Western Carolina, coastal Florida, and Eastern Tennessee have been devastated, their landscapes unrecognizable. Families have been torn apart, homes washed away, and lifetimes of memories have been reduced to rubble. Staff members have been deeply impacted and their families as well. Our stores will be closed for months and we are leaning on our network now to help protect the well-being of families in the area.

Reflecting on the harrowing experience, Kennique shared:

"It was the most terrifying and heartbreaking experience of my life. By the time we woke up, it was too late to evacuate. We watched the water rise, prayed, and waited for help. Cars were being washed away, the building shook, and trees were being swallowed whole. Despite losing everything, I’m forever grateful to God for rescuing me and my siblings. We still have our lives, and for that, I am thankful."
